PRAISE

“Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!” (Psalm 47:1)

KINGDOM COME

“Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:4). Ramadan is the holiest month of the Islamic calendar, and Muslims will fast and pray in order to do more good deeds in the sight of Allah. But Jesus tells us to humble ourselves, making us recognize our dependence on God. We pray, God, that as Bosniaks attempt to earn your favor, they will recognize that it is impossible to be good enough to enter your kingdom. May they be humbled and turn to Christ for salvation, as he is their only hope.

PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS

Paul was told by Ananias: “for you will be a witness for [Jesus] to everyone of what you have seen and heard” (Acts 22:15). Paul, who had once persecuted the church, had a vision of Jesus and believed. He would go on to be a witness for Christ! God, we know that you can change any heart. We pray for every Bosniak who ascribes to Islam. Please give them dreams and visions that point directly to Jesus during what is supposed to be the holiest month of Islam. May this be a way that you move in Bosnia.

PRAY THE HALL OF FAITH

“By faith he (Moses) kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them” (Hebrews 11:28). We pray for many in Bosnia to put their faith in Christ’s blood that was poured out for them. Let the power of Your death, burial, and resurrection convince them to put their faith in You and to be freed from the Destroyer.

PRAYER

Lord God, we know that you are powerful and desire to draw Bosniaks to yourself. We pray that during Ramadan you would move through dreams and visions of Jesus, and that in this many Bosniaks would seek to know you. May they recognize that they can do nothing of their own volition to be saved, but it is only through the blood of Christ that they can be saved from sin and death. May they come to you humbly and place their trust in Jesus. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
